The security industry is undergoing profound change. At the same time, organisations are increasingly adopting a holistic approach that brings together physical and digital security.
Taking place from 22–25 September 2026, Security Essen will demonstrate how these developments are reshaping the sector and highlight the technologies that will define the future of security. Around 500 exhibitors from 40 countries will present the latest products, innovations and solutions, giving visitors a comprehensive overview of the market.
The exhibition will cover the full spectrum of modern security technologies, including access control, mechatronics, mechanical security systems, fire and intrusion protection, perimeter security, video surveillance, specialist services, protection vehicles, and civil protection solutions. A key trend across the industry is the increasing integration of these disciplines, with video surveillance, access control and intrusion detection now operating together on unified platforms. Artificial intelligence, cloud-based management and intelligent sensor technologies are also helping organisations identify risks faster and improve response times.
Reflecting these trends, exhibitors including Advancis, Milestone, ASSA ABLOY, dormakaba, Salto, Telenot, Axis Communications, Dallmeier and Strops will demonstrate the latest innovations in integrated security, access control, video surveillance and perimeter protection alongside a wide range of other manufacturers, specialists and start-ups.

Alongside the exhibition, Security Essen will host an extensive programme of conferences and specialist events designed to encourage knowledge sharing and networking across the industry. For the first time, Security Essen will also run alongside EUDEX – Euro Defence Expo, creating new opportunities for collaboration between the civilian security and defence sectors. The co-located events will focus on areas including critical infrastructure protection, civil protection, crisis preparedness and resilient security strategies, offering visitors a broader perspective on today's evolving security landscape.
