Purchasers of the United Nations inform themselves about civil security solutions
High-ranking visit at Security Essen 2022: Organised by the Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Climate Protection and the German-American Chamber of Commerce, a delegation of purchasers from the United Nations (UN) is travelling to the Ruhr metropolis. At the leading fair for civil security, which will take place at Messe Essen from 20 to 23 September, the UN representatives will present the UN's procurement system and find out about the latest developments and products. In this way, Security Essen links supply and demand in a perfectly fitting manner.
The United Nations is a global player not only politically but also economically. Through its procurement system, it purchased goods and services with a total value of 22.3 billion US dollars in 2020 alone. 461 million of this was in the categories of public policy and security services and equipment. Through better knowledge of UN procurement, German companies can benefit from this trade volume. Security Essen now offers interested companies the opportunity to make important contacts and obtain the appropriate information. For example, a seminar entitled "How to Business with the UN" is on the programme. In it, German companies from the security sector can get to know the structures of UN procurement and network with purchasers. In addition, a round table with industry experts and one-on-one meetings with UN purchasers are planned during the visit. During a guided tour of the fair, the guests will obtain information directly from selected exhibiting companies.
Security Essen provides a comprehensive insight into all facets of the security industry. The meeting place of the international security sector will take place in the modernised grounds of Messe Essen and will be divided in accordance with the market into the exhibition sections "Services"; "Access, Mechatronics, Mechanics and Systems"; "Perimeter"; "Video", "Fire, Burglary and Systems" as well as "Digital Networking Security".
